A SOLD-OUT Cailloux Theater crowd was on hand for
one of the HOTTEST events staged by KPAS during its
tenure at The Cailloux Theater…both in November of
2005 and again in May of 2008! KPAS was proud to
recognize the 5th anniversary of the theater they
call home...The Kathleen C. Cailloux City Center for
the Performing Arts...with a show that featured the
top virtuoso violinists and fiddlers on the
continent, together in one electrifying performance.
Guest Speaker, Harvey Hilderbran, State
Representative, District 53, and Chairman of the
State Cultural and Recreational Resources Committee,
introduced special guests: Mr. Stephen Fine (Mayor
of Kerrville for the dedication of the theater), Mr.
Gene Smith (present Kerrville Mayor) and Kit Werlein
(Chairman of Capital Campaign for the Kathleen C.
Cailloux Theater and President of the Playhouse 2000
Board of Directors).
Students from the Hill Country Youth Orchestras
provided the pre-concert lobby music for an evening
of sizzling strings that had the audience on its
feet!!!
KPAS will continue to offer special events, like
Bowfire, in addition to their 6-concert series.
Season ticket holders receive first priority in
purchasing tickets to these events before tickets go
on sale to the general public.
